This is my 100 year old Dad at his 100th Birthday, July 15, 2008 with Great Granddaughter Lianna. He is the one that has passed on to me the genes to be a gardener. He was raised on a Rice farm in Louisiana and to this day still loves the process of growing , tilling and tending a garden. I evidently inheirited this, as I love the same process. So much of history to pass on to his family. He has lived through 19 president, the depression, four wars, and 37 years years of work at Humble (Exxon) and so much more. I am so blessed that I have him to encourage me, teach me and love me and my family.
I am follower of Christ,a devoted Daughter and wife, a very proud Mother of 4, Grandmother of 11, greatGrandmother of two, and prayers for another in the very near future. I am blessed with 3 daughters-in-law,and one son-in-law. I work part time as a Pharmacy Tech, love gardening and love to bake, especially pies.
I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear, falling on my ear, the Son of God discloses. And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there, none other has ever known. He speaks and the sound of His voice is so sweet the birds hush their singing. And the melody that He gave to me, within my heart is ringing. And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there none other has ever known. I'd stay in the garden with Him 'tho the night around me be falling. But He bids me go; through the voice of woe, His voice to me is calling. And He walks with me and He talks with me and He tells me I am His own. And the joy we share as we tarry there none other has ever known
